Deadwood Trading Post
Deadwood Oregon Trading Company, Deadwood, Oregon
The Blue School House 5 miles up Deadwood Creek road is a great place to visit and see the creative handy work of the Goertzen family – Anya creates porcelain cups and bowls, each being unique, hand built or by way of a wheel. David’s indigenous wood kitchen utensils are one of a kind. When building projects are slow, David creates very unique furniture.
Mary Lou and her late Husband, Ernie, have been full time artists for many years. Mary Lou is known locally and nationally for her China patterns. Her cards and original drawings always leaving something to the imagination.
MaryLou can be thought of as the heart and soul of Deadwood. She lives by this motto. “Before you speak to someone, ask yourself is it kind, true and necessary.”
A visit to the school House may also involve a ride through the woods on a 200 ft zip Line.
Private showings are very welcome.

Mary Lou's designs on Fine China
Recent additions to the Deadwood Trading Post. Matted Paintings are approximately 5x7 and are $20.00. Others are 8x10 ($75), 11x14 ($300-$800), & 14x18 ($300-$1000). Some of these paintings are not in the store, email for details.
Recently, Mary Lou released a few of her highly prized prototypes from her collection. These have never been available before. Note the Block Spal China patterns below. Mary Lou designed these patterns for the special release of China from Portugal. The original patterns for this run were not returned to Mary Lou. However, additional prototypes were created during the design process. A few of these prototypes are now available on the Deadwood Trading Post. These watercolors are described as prototypes and have a very interesting look. See more artwork at www.marylougoertzenartwork.com
